Matchbox Infanterie Britannique mix very well avec Matchbox Commandos Britanniques to create an enormous variety of infantry figurine poses for wargames et dioramas. There are enough figurines in this set to recruit a standard infantry platoon of 36 men. The remaining officers et heavy weapons may be used to create engineer elements, mortar et heavy machine-gun sections of the Headquarters Company. The figurines may be deployed as infantry et motorized infantry of the line et guards divisions, although they are too lightly equipped pour représenter l’infanterie britannique et du Commonwealth hitting the Normandy beaches.

Évaluation

• Choix de sujet excellent. Infanterie Britannique de du Commonwealth de chez Matchbox is a staple for wargames et dioramas.
• Exceptional variety of figurine poses. This figurine sets offers enough riflemen, officers et heavy weapons to raise infantry platoons et company level support teams.
• Useful wargaming poses throughout. Sculpted by Bill Farmer. Matchbox seems to have designed this figurine set avec the wargames market clearly in mind. The figurines are easy to paint.
• The Matchbox infantrymen are wearing the Mk.1 ou Mk.2 helmet which was gradually replaced by the M.1944 Mk.3 "Canadian" helmet et the M.1945 Mk.4 "Turtle Shell" helmet avec removable liner.
• With the exception of the Flamethrower, the ratio of heavy weapons to riflemen is about right. Others figurine sets are overloaded avec heavy weapons which end up in the spare parts box.
• Les figurines peuvent être converties en Commandos britanniques by replacing the steel helmet avec a beret ou knit cap.

• The bayonets are too short, thick, et blunt to be accurate. Airfix did a much better job avec their figurines de la 8e Armée Britannique which carry perfectly sculpted bayonets.
• The trousers are sculpted without pockets. There should be a right rear pocket, a large map pocket on the front left thigh, et a small pocket for the field-dressing in front of the right pelvic bone.
